DTC P0030 Ho2S Heater Control Circuit (Bank 1/Sensor 1): DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Evaluate O2 sensor element temperature via measuring element resistance
  • Related fuse blown or missing
  • Heater control circuit open or short
  • Power supply circuit open or short
  • Poor connection or damaged harness
  • Faulty HO2S
Case 2
  • Check operative readiness after certain time with active heating
Case 3
  • Check if the controller gain/offset are within min/max limit
Enable Conditions
  • No relevant failure
  • 11 ≤ Battery voltage ≤ 16V
  • Dewpoint exceeded
  • Heater power control active since a certain time (O2 Sensor element temperature check) > 20 sec.
  • Heater control activating (controller malfunction check and element resistance check)
Threshold Value Case 1
  • 690°C (1,274°F) < Front HO2S element temperature < 875°C (1, 607°F)
Case 2
  • Heating time > 30 ~ 100 sec.
Case 3
  • Values out of boundaries and timer > THD
Diagnostic Time Case 1
  • 50 sec.
Case 2
  • 30~100 sec.
