Signal Circuit Inspection

Check for open in harness
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Measure resistance between terminal "29" of IMS and terminal "3" of powerseat recline sensor.
  Specification : Approx. 0 Ω

3. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
  YES
  
  Go to " 2Check for short in harness" procedure.
  
  NO
  
  Check for open in signal harness. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
Check for short in harness
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect powerseat recline motor.
3. Measure resistance between terminal "29" of IMS and chassis ground.
  Specification : Approx. ∞ Ω

4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
  YES
  
  Go to "POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
  
  NO
  
  Check for short in signal harness. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
