Monitor SCANTOOL Data

Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
Select Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) " mode and Clear the DTC.

Is the DTC erased?
YES

Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the BCM and/or the antenna coil connector or was repaired and BCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

NO

If DTC is not erased, Check for Engine "DTC".

If DTC that "P1642 NON IMMOBILIZER ECM EQUIPPED" is simultaneously displayed, The ECM which was equipped must be NON Immobilizer ECM. Replace the ECM which has Immobilizer function, and then Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE INSPECTION " procedure.

If DTC that "P1642 NON IMMOBILIZER ECM EQUIPPED" is not displayed, Go to " " procedure.
