DTC P0160 Ho2S Circuit No: Activity Detected (Bank 2/Sensor 2): DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
(Case1) DTC Strategy
  • Signal Plausibility with Rich Mixture (During Catalyst Purge after Fuel Cut Off)
  • Open in signal harness
  • Open in ground harness
  • Contact resistance in connectors
  • Faulty Heated O2 Sensor (HO2S)
Enable Conditions
  • Coolant Temperature > 70°C(158°F)
  • Sensor preheating and full heating phases finished
  • Integrated MAF in last fuel cut-off > 18g
  • Sensor signal at End of Last Fuel cut-off < 0.2V
  • Intergrated Air Mass Flow after Fuel Cut-Off > 1000g
  • Maximum Upstream O2 Sensor Voltage during Catalyst Purge > 0.7V
  • Catalyst Temperature Model > 350°C(662°F)
Threshold Value
  • Max Downstream O2 sensor voltage during Catalyst purge after fuel cut-off < 0.55V
Diagnostic Time
  • 2 Valid Fuel Cut Off by Catalyst Enrichment
(Case2) DTC Strategy
  • Sensor voltage excursion for Lean and Rich mixture
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage > 10V
Threshold Value
  • Time to closed loop control not activated when O2 sensor voltage blocked between 0.37~0.54V > 90~200 sec. (depends on coolant temp. at start)
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediate
MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
