DESCRIPTION

This bulletin describes the procedure on how to check the map database software version in Hyundai navigation systems and the process to update the map system database.

IMPORTANT: The Navigation map update procedure will erase all personal settings (addresses, phone numbers, and radio presets) previously programmed to the navigation unit.

MAP SOFTWARE VERSION VERIFICATION PROCEDURE

2009 Sonata

Push the "PWR" button to turn the system on.

Push the SETUP button on the control panel.

Press the "Agree" button on the screen.

Press "System Info" on the screen.

Check the Map Version on the screen. The Early Map Version is 2.3.3(2007/11/15).

The most recent Map Version update (as of 02/01/09) for 2009 Sonata is 2008.09.13 .
- Confirm latest map version update by logging onto www.mapnsoft.com.

2008-09 Veracruz/Azera/Santa Fe

Turn key to the Accessory (ACC) position and press the OK button on the screen.

Push the SETUP button on the control panel.

Press the DEVICE INFO button in the SETUP screen.

Check the Map Version on the screen. The early Map Version is 2.3.2 (2007/07/04/14) .

The most recent Map Version update (as of 02/01/09) is 02.03.02 (2009.02.12.05) .

The navigation map database is updated through M&Soft America, Inc. Log on to the website www.mapnsoft.com or call 1(714)775-0727 for assistance in acquiring the latest update map database.

The navigation map update procedure is not covered under the factory warranty.
