Monitor Scan Tool Data

  1. Connect scan tool to DLC (Data Link Cable).
  2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
  3. Monitor "ECTS" parameter on scan tool.

  4. Is the "ECTS" parameter displayed correctly?

    YES 

    1. Case 1] This DTC can caused by Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS). So, if there is (are) DTC(s) of IATS, refer to the appropriate diagnostic procedure .
    2. Case 2] Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    1. Go to "TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION " procedure.
