Monitor Scantool Data

IG KEY "ON" & Engine "OFF".
Erase DTC after connecting GDS.
Check Smart Key PCM/ECM status parameter if DTC is retrieved.

Is the neutralization of Smart Key PCM/ECM, Engine PCM/ECM and key teaching normal?
YES
- Neutralize the PCM/ECM after erasing the DTC with GDS.
  Check that system is normal after checking the DTC again. (If the DTC is set again, replace PCM/ECM)
  
  Wait for more than 1 min. with IG ON so that smart key PCM/ECM register PIN into Engine PCM/ECM automatically.
NO
- Perform key teaching procedure after replacing PCM/ECM and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " Procedure.
NOTE:
- PIN code is programmed in Smart key PCM/ECM, Transponder.
  1. If the Smart key PCM/ECM is not registered with PIN, key teaching process is not proceeded.
  2. Registering PIN is available after Smart Key PCM/ECM is neutralized.
  3. Neutralization of Engine PCM/ECM is available with GDS (Registering PIN code)
  4. If the virgin engine PCM/ECM is installed on vehicle, Engine PCM/ECM is automatically programmed PIN code by Smart Key PCM/ECM.
  5. Registering PIN code is only possible for virgin or neutralized status.
- All Learning procedure is able to do with a scan tool in the vehicle's ignition key off state.
  - Smart Key PCM/ECM Learning
    
    Before learning procedure for Smart Key PCM/ECM should be registered PIN code first.
    
    In case of replacing Smart Key PCM/ECM, All of the keys should be newly registered again.
    
    In case that Smart Key PCM/ECM receives 3 times with wrong PIN, It is not allowed for neutralization and Key Teaching for 1 hour.
    
    If the battery is discharged during neutralization or Teaching, Timer will start again from beginning.
    
    Therefore, it is avoidable to wait for 1 hour.
