Component Inspection

  1. IG KEY "ON" and select 'Actuation Test' menu in GDS.
  2. Execute 'Variable Charge Motion Actuator'.
  3. Confirm the change of VCMA feedback sensor signal and the sound of operation.

    Specification: 

    SIGNAL OUTPUT REFERENCE

    Control State Flap State Signal Output
    OFF OPEN 0.84 ± 0.1 V
    ON CLOSE 4.16 ± 0.1 V
  4. Is everything OK?

    YES 

    Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    Disassemble VCMA and Intake Manifold and check stuck by carbon or foreign object. Check the component for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good component and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the component and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
