Repair procedures (F21): Removal

  1. Remove the TCU. (Refer to REMOVAL )
    CAUTION: Do not touch the terminals.
  2. Drain the oil by removing the overflow plug and the O-ring using a torx wrench (T40), and the drain plug (A) and the gasket by using a hexagon wrench (17mm).

  3. Disconnect the oil cooler hoses from the tubes.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts to remove the oil cooler tubes (A) and the O-rings.

  5. Remove the transaxle side cover and the valve body assembly. (Refer to REMOVAL )
    CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the valve body assembly.
  6. After removing the wire lock plate (A), remove the wire (B) from the transaxle case.
    CAUTION:
    • Be careful not to damage the harness.
    • Be careful not to pull the harness forcibly.

  7. Remove the O-ring (B) and the gasket (C) from the wire (A).
