Control Circuit Inspection: Notes

■ Check short to ground in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect injector connector and PCM connector.
2. Measure resistance between injector control terminal of injector harness connector and chassis ground.
  1. Specification : Infinite

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  1. Go to "Check open in harness" as follows.
  NO
  1. Repair short to ground in harness, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

■ Check open in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect injector connector and PCM connector.
2. Measure resistance between injector control terminal of injector harness connector and injector control terminal of PCM harness connector.
  1. Specification : Below 1Ω

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  1. Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
  NO
  1. Repair open in harness, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
