System Components

  1. PTL Drive Unit (A).

    Power trunk lid drive unit consists of motor & driven gear, PTL module, PTL motor and drive arm.

    PTL drive unit is located in rear left trunk trim. PTL drive unit opens and closes the trunk connected push rod automatically.

  2. Power latch (A)

    Trunk opened by actuator after releases of latch's lock.

    Built in the Micro switch for monitoring the latch lock & unlock status.

  3. Power Striker

    By using actuator cinching the striker to go down strongly when the trunk is closed by motor.

    Built in the micro switch for monitoring the striker's position.

  4. SMK (Smart key)

    Push the power trunk lid open of the SMK more than 0.5s to open the power trunk. Power Open operation shall be reversed when an additional Open/Close signal is received during power opening.
