General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Check
  • Open or Short to ground in power circuit
  • Open or short to ground in signal circuit
  • Poor connection or damaged harness
  • Faulty APS1
Enable Conditions
  • No error for power supply circuit in APS1
  • APS2 > 0.55 V
Threshold Value
  • APS1 < 0.23 V
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.3 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 1 Driving Cycle
Limp-Home
  • Forced limited power mode: The PCM limits opening angle of the throttle valve to max. 50% and engine torque to a certain pre-determined value.
  • After idle recognition, the PCM uses APS2 signal to calculate the current opening angle of the throttle valve.
