Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
  2. Ignition "OFF".
  3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minutes.
  4. Disconnect Passenger side BodySense sensor ECU connector.
  5. Substitute the Passenger side BodySense sensor ECU and check for proper operation.
  6. Is DTC present problem?

    YES 

    • Substitute a known-good Passenger side BodySense sensor ECU, and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace Passenger side BodySense sensor ECU. Then, go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute the Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU main harness and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU main harness and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
