Monitor Scantool Data

  1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC)
  2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF", select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  3. Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
  4. Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
  5. Adults needs to be sat down on the passenger seat.
  6. Monitor the "Passenger side BodySense sensor ECU Real Time Status Of Current Data" parameter on the scantool.

  7. Are the parameters displayed correctly?

    YES 

    • Displaying nothing (no DTC) or DTC with label "H" (historical) shows that Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the part's and/or Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU connector or was repaired and Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU memory was not cleared.

      Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage.

    • Repair or replace as necessary, then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO
