Monitor Scantool Data
- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC)
- Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF", select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
- Monitor diagnostic trouble code and present of trouble code.
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTC.
- Adults needs to be sat down on the passenger seat.
- Monitor the "Passenger side BodySense sensor ECU Real Time Status Of Current Data" parameter on the scantool.
- Are the parameters displayed correctly?
YES
- Displaying nothing (no DTC) or DTC with label "H" (historical) shows that Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the part's and/or Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU connector or was repaired and Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU memory was not cleared.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary, then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to "W/HARNESS INSPECTION " procedure.
- Displaying nothing (no DTC) or DTC with label "H" (historical) shows that Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the part's and/or Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU connector or was repaired and Passenger side PODS-F sensor Mat & ECU memory was not cleared.
