Shift Cable Alignment Inspection

* P0706 is happened by malfunction of Shift Cable alignment between TGS Lever and Transmission Range Sensor. So that It must check Shift Cable alignment and Shift lever.

Check the Alignment of Shift Cable 

  1. Move TGS lever to "N" position. and unfasten Shift cable - Manual Control Lever nut and Transmission Range sensor 2 bolts.
  2. Set Manual Control Lever in "N" position.

  4. Insert "N setting Jig(Ø5)" into the "N setting hole"
  5. Fasten the Shift cable - Manual Control Lever nut and Transmission Range sensor 2 bolts.

    * Beware of pull or push between Shift Cable and Manual Control Lever.

  6. Remove the Jig from "N setting hole"

  8. Is the problem solved?

    YES 

Check the Shift Lever 

  1. Move shift lever "N" to "D" range.
  2. Check the Shift lever is stop between "N" range and "D" range.
  3. If the Shift lever is stop between "N" range and "D" range, replace Shift lever.
  4. After complete above procedure, Move shift lever "P" to "D" range 2 times.

  5. Is the problem solved?

    YES
