Repair procedures: Removal

  1. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to "FLOOR CONSOLE ")

  2. Remove the air duct (A).

  3. Remove the select cable snap pin (A) and then remove the select cable (B) from the shift lever pin.

  4. Remove the shift cable (B) after removing the clip (A).

  5. Remove the cable guide (A) from lever assembly after pulling in the direction of the arrow.

  6. Remove the crash pad and cowl cross bar.

    (Refer to "COWL CROSS BAR ASSEMBLY ")

  7. Remove the heater unit.

    (Refer to "HEATER UNIT ")

  8. Remove the retainer (A) after loosen the nut (B).

  9. Remove the following components:
    1. Engine cover.

      (Refer to "ENGINE COVER ")

    2. Air cleaner assembly and air duct.

      (Refer to "AIR CLEANER ")

    3. Battery and battery tray.

      (Refer to "BATTERY ")

  10. Remove the shift & select cable.
    1. Remove the pin (A) and washer (B).
    2. Make unlock clip (C) and then remove the shift & select cable and the clip (C) from the bracket.

      NOTE:
      • Do not reuse the clip (C).
  11. Remove the shift cable at cabin room.
