Repair Procedure: Removal

  1. Separate the boot and remove the knob (A) by rotating it counterclockwise.

  3. Remove the floor Interior console assembly.

    (Refer to REPLACEMENT )

  4. Remove the air duct (A) by removing the nut.

  5. Remove the bracket cover (A) by removing the nuts.

  6. Remove the select cable (B) by removing the snap pin (A).

  7. Remove the shift lever assembly (A) by removing the bolts.

  9. Remove the shift cable (B) by removing shift cable clip (A).

  11. Remove the main crash pad assembly.

    (Refer to MAIN CRASH PAD REPLACEMENT )

  12. Remove the heater unit.

    (Refer to HEATER UNIT )

  13. Remove the retainer (A) after loosen the nut (B).

  15. Remove the engine cover.
  16. (Refer to REMOVAL )

  17. Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
  18. (Refer to REMOVAL )

  19. Remove the battery and battery tray

    (Refer to REMOVAL )

  20. Remove the control cable.
    1. Remove the pin (A).
    2. Unlock the cable bracket clip (B) and remove it with the cable.

    CAUTION:
    • When removing the cable clip, spread it by pressing the "B" portion.
    • Replace the clip with a new one once it is removed.

  21. Remove the shift cable at cabin room.
