DTC P020E: Cylinder 5 Injector Timing (Injector Input Line Circuit Error): General Description

Fuel injection time is decided with engine load and corrected with mass air flow, various sensor signal.

GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine increases output by increasing intake air density with it injecting high pressure fuel supplied from high pressure pump directly into combustion chamber. Also it injects mutifully. Direct and multiful injection make increase fuel efficiency and output.

Fuel is injected by magnetizing coil lifting up niddle valve in injector when ECU/IDB (Injector Drive Box) operates injector.

IDB (Injector Drive Box) : ECU for operating high pressure injector and pump. In case of 8 cyclinder GDI engine, injector driving module is devided with ECM due to too big size.
