DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor the spark timing
  1. Intake system for blockage
  2. Throttle plate for carbon deposits
Enable Conditions
  • Battery Voltage between 11V and 16V
  • Engine is running (idle).
  • Cold Start Catalyst Light Off active
  • Desired Catalyst Light Off RPM Offset is greater than 50 RPM
Threshold value
  • Idle RPM Shiftup is lower than 50 RPM
  • Idle RPM Shiftup is greater than 50 RPM and the difference between target and actual idle RPM is more than 100 RPM
Diagnosis Time
  • 10 seconds
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
