Signal Circuit Inspection

■ Check open in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect battery sensor and PCM connector.
2. Check resistance between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness Connector and PCM harness connector.
  Specification: Below 1.0Ω

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to " CHECK SHORT TO BATTERY IN HARNESS" as follows.
  NO
  - Repair open in harnesses and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
■ Check short to battery in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect battery sensor and PCM connector.
2. IG "ON"
3. Measure the voltage between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
  Specification: Approx. 0V

4. Is the measured voltage within specification?
  YES
  - Go to " CHECK SHORT TO GROUND IN HARNESS" as follows.
  NO
  - Repair short to battery in harnesses and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
■ Check short to ground in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect battery sensor and PCM connector.
2. Check resistance between LIN terminal of battery sensor harness Connector and chassis ground.
  Specification: Infinity

3. Is the measured resistance within specification?
  YES
  - Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " as follows.
  NO
  - Repair short to ground in harnesses and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
