Repair procedures: Installation

CAUTION:

When installing cable, place the transaxle lever and the shift lever in 4th shift position and insert the lever fixing pin (A).

Install the retainer (A) and tighten the nut (B).
Tightening torque:

11.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.2 ~ 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 10.8 lb-ft)

Install the heater unit.
(Refer to "HEATER UNIT ")
Install the main crash pad assembly.
(Refer to "CRASH PAD ")
Install the shift cable (B) and then fixing the pin (A).

Install the select cable (B) and then fixing the snap pin (A).

Assemble the new clip (A) to the cable bracket and install the cable (B).

Move the locker (B) in the direction of "F" with pulling the holder (A) in the direction of "P".

Install the select cable (A), and then fixing the pin (B).

Fastening the holder (A) to the "P" directions after fixing the rockers (B) in the "F" direction.

Remove the fixing pin (A).

Install the bracket cover (A).

Install the air duct (A).

Install the floor Interior console assembly.
(Refer to "FLOOR CONSOLE ")
Install battery and battery tray.
(Refer to "BATTERY ")
Install air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to procedures found in "REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
CAUTION:
- New shift lever assembly includes a 4th retaining pin.
  Remove the 4th retaining pin after installing.
- Check operating of lever of transaxle side when operating shift lever after assembly. (1~6, R)
