DTC Description: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Check
  1. Open in ground circuit
  2. Short to battery in signal circuit
  3. Poor connection or damaged harness
  4. Faulty APS1
Enable Conditions
  • No error for power supply circuit in APS1
Threshold Value
  • APS1 > 4.7V
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.3 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 1 Drive Cycle
Limp-Home
  • Forced limited power mode: The PCM/ECM limits opening angle of the throttle valve to max. 50% and engine torque to a certain pre-determined value.
  • After idle recognition, the PCM/ECM uses APS2 signal to calculate the current opening angle of the throttle valve.
