DTC Description: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Electrical Check
  1. Open or Short to ground in power circuit
  2. Open or short to ground in signal circuit
  3. Poor connection or damaged harness
  4. Faulty APS2
Enable Conditions
  • No error for power supply circuit in APS2
  • APS1 > 1V
Threshold Value
  • APS1 < 0.13V
Diagnostic Time
  • 0.3 sec.
MIL On Condition
  • 1 Drive Cycle
Limp-Home
  • Forced limited power mode: The PCM/ECM limits opening angle of the throttle valve to max. 50% and engine torque to a certain pre-determined value.
  • After idle recognition, the PCM/ECM uses APS1 signal to calculate the current opening angle of the throttle valve.
