Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS.
  2. IG Key "ON"
  3. Clear DTCs.
  4. Perform "T/C Clutch Calibration " in "Vehicle S/W Management"  menu of the GDS.
  5. IG Key "OFF".
  6. Start the engine.
  7. Drive the vehicle for over 15 minutes.
  8. Connect GDS.
  9. Check if the DTC is presented.
  10. If their is a DTC (DTCs), mechanical defect should be checked.
    1. IG Key "OFF".
    2. Remove the 4WD ECU.
    3. Rotate the shaft of the 4WD ECU to the left and right by hand.
    4. Replace the 4WD ECU if the shaft is fixed in above test.
    5. Rotate the shaft combined with the 4WD ECU in transfer case to the counter-clockwise 2 times (Fig 1)
    6. Replace the transformer case if the shaft is fixed in above test.
