Monitor GDS Data

  1. IG Key "ON"
  2. Clear DTCs.
  3. Perform "T/C Clutch Calibration " in "Vehicle S/W Management"  menu of the GDS.
  4. IG Key "OFF"
  5. Start the Engine.
  6. Drive the vehicle for over 15 minutes.

  7. Is any DTC present after test driving?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good "4WD ECU" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "4WD ECU" and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and 4WD ECU memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
