Component Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" and using a GDS, clear the DTC.
  2. Ignition "OFF".
  3. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery and wait at least one minutes.
  4. Disconnect passenger side PODS-F ECU connector.
  5. Substitute the passenger side PODS-F ECU and check for proper operation.
  6. Does DTC present problem?

    YES 

    • Substitute the passenger side PODS-F ECU main harness and check for proper operation.

    If the problem is corrected, replace PODS-F ECU main harness then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure then go to "PODS RESET " procedure.

    NO 

    • Substitute a known-good passenger side PODS-F ECU and check for proper operation.

      If the problem is corrected, replace passenger side PODS-F ECU then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure then go to "PODS RESET " procedure.
