Component Inspection

  1. IG "OFF".
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)  " mode.
  4. Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
  5. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)  " mode again.
  6. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.
    NOTE: * In a case of replacing HECU, operate following functions
    1. "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction. Refer to Appropriate Service Information.
    2. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction. Refer to Appropriate Service Information.
    3. "Variant Coding" for type recognition (refer to C1702 )

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by faulty HECU or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. go to Verification Of Vehicle Repair procedure below.
