Repair Procedures: Removal
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Body - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")
- Disconnect the connector of the immobilizer unit and then remove the immobilizer unit (A) after loosening the nut.
NOTE: Using a suitable tool, cut slots into the heads of the shear bolts.
Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from flying bits of metal.
Wear work gloves to protect your hands from any sharp metal edges on the shear bolt.
