Variant Coding

  1. Check for improper installation of EMS/TCU/ESC.
  2. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Ignition switch 'ON'.
  4. Perform variant coding in "Vehicle S/W Management  " menu of the GDS.
  5. Disconnect GDS.
  6. Ignition switch 'OFF' and wait for about 10 seconds, and then ignition switch 'ON'. Go to "DTC C1702: Variant Coding Error " procedure.
