Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector (A).

  3. Lift the vehicle.
  4. Remove the protector (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

    Crankshaft position sensor protector mounting bolt (M6): 

    9.8 -11.8 N.m (1.0 -1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 -8.7 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the crankshaft position sensor (A) after loosening the mounting bolt,

    Crankshaft position sensor mounting bolt: 

    9.8 -11.8 N.m (1.0 -1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 -8.7 lb-ft)
