Check Smart Key PCM Inspection
- IG KEY "ON" & Engine "OFF".
- Neutralize smart key PCM with GDS.
- Perform key teaching procedure for smart key PCM with GDS.CAUTION: Pin code must be prepared to Neutralize Smart Key PCM and to perform key teaching procedure
- Is the neutralization of Smart Key PCM, Engine PCM and key teaching normal?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in Smart Key PCM and/or PCM's connector or was repaired and Smart key PCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good Smart Key PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Smart Key PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NOTE: ■ PIN code is programmed in Smart key PCM, Transponder.- If the Smart key PCM is not registered with PIN, key teaching process is not proceeded.
- Registering PIN is available after Smart Key PCM is neutralized.
- Neutralization of Engine PCM is available with GDS (Registering PIN code)
- If the virgin engine PCM is installed on vehicle, Engine PCM is automatically programmed PIN code by Smart Key PCM.
- Registering PIN code is only possible for virgin or neutralized status.
■ All Learning procedure is able to do with a GDS in the vehicle's ignition key off state.- Smart Key PCM Learning
- Before learning procedure for FOB Key, Smart Key PCM should be registered PIN code first.
- In case of replacing Smart Key PCM, All of the keys should be newly registered again.
- In case that Smart Key PCM receives 3 times with wrong PIN, It is not allowed for neutralization and Key Teaching for 1
- If the battery is discharged during neutralization or Teaching, Timer will start again from beginning.
Therefore, it is avoidable to wait for 1 hour.
