Repair Procedures: Removal
- Air cleaner assembly and air duct. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner
")
- Battery and battery tray. (Refer to COMPONENTS
)
- Remove the nut (A) from the manual control lever.
- Remove the shift cable (B) from the bracket (C) at transaxle side.

- Remove the floor console assembly. (Refer to Body - "Floor Console
")
- Remove the air duct (A).

- Disconnect the shift cable (A).
- Disconnect the cable bracket from the shift lever after pushing the lock.
- Disconnect the cable holer (A) from the shift lever.

- Remove the airbag module. (Refer to Restraint - "Airbag Module
")
- Disconnect the shift cable retainer (B) after removing the mounting nut (A).
- Remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the interior.
