GDS Data Analysis

■ Variant Coding (in case that the GDS is connected to the internet) 

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Perform variant coding in Vehicle S/W Management menu of the GDS.
  4. Fill in blanks with VIN number of the vehicle correctly. (Fig 1)
  5. Check whether current variant code corresponds to the options which are applied to the vehicle. (Fig 2)
  6. IG "OFF" and wait for about 10 seconds, and then IG "ON", go to "Variant Code Reset" Procedure below.
NOTE: In case that the state of HAC is enabled, operate "longitudinal G sensor Calibration" by GDS. (Refer to "C1285 ")

■ Variant Coding (in case that the GDS isn't connected to the internet) 

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. IG "ON".
  3. Perform variant coding in "Vehicle S/W Management  " menu of the GDS. (Fig 3)
  4. Log in GSW website (http://ccc.hyundai-motor.com/) and then click "VIN Search" at the top center side of the screen.
  5. Select ESP (ESC) and fill in VIN number (or body number) correctly, and check ESP (ESC) code. (Fig 4)
  6. Fill in the blank with ESP (ESC) code checked in GSW web site. (Fig 5)
  7. Check whether current variant code corresponds to the options which are applied to the vehicle.
  8. IG "OFF" and wait for about 10 seconds, and then IG "ON", go to "Variant Code Reset" Procedure below.
NOTE: In case that the state of HAC is enabled, operate "longitudinal G sensor Calibration" by GDS. (Refer to "C1285 ")

■ Variant Code Reset 

  1. Check for improper installation of ECM/TCM/ESP (ESC)/4WD/DCT/ACU/EPB ECU.
  2. Check for wrong 4WD ECU installation.
  3. Check for wrong G sensor installation.
  4. Check for wrong DCT ECU installation.
  5. Check for wrong TCM installation.
  6. Check for wrong EPB ECU installation.
  7. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector.
  8. IG "ON".
  9. Perform variant code reset in Vehicle S/W Management menu of the GDS.
  10. IG "OFF" and wait for about 10 seconds, and then IG "ON", go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " Procedure.
