Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Open the cover and loosen the front seat mounting bolts.

    [Front] 

    Tightening torque: 

    34.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (3.5 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 25.3~ 39.8 lb-ft)

    [Rear] 

    Tightening torque: 

    34.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (3.5 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 25.3~ 39.8 lb-ft)

  2. Disconnect the airbag connector (A), seat warmer & power seat switch connector (B), front seat belt buckle connector (C), seat belt reminder connector (D).

  3. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    The installation procedures of seat mounting bolts 

    • Push the seat to the rear end of slides and initially tighten the front mounting bolts.
    • Push the seat to the front end of slides and completely tighten the rear mounting bolts.
    • Send the seat to the rear end again to completely tighten the front mounting bolts.
    • Check the seat for smooth movement.
    • For the non-automatic slide seats, check the seats are fixed at each designated fixing position.

    * How to detach the anchor seat belt 

    • When replacing anchor pretensioner, make sure to use the assigned tools to remove the anchor safety belt connector (A).

    Tools to be used 

    Tool A: hex wrench screwdriver or drill with diameter of 3 mm and length of 56 mm or more.

    Tool B: screwdriver or drill with diameter of 3 mm.

    1. Insert the tool (A) vertically into the hole (F). Then, tilt it over 10° as shown in (Fig 7).
      NOTE:
      • When tilted 10°, tool (A) pushes and rotates the internal part (C).
    2. Insert and push the tool (B) vertically into the hole (E). Then, anchor safety belt connector (D) will be disconnected.
