Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Install the PLG spindle bracket.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.9 ~ 10.8 N.m (0.7 ~ 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 8.0 lb-ft)

  2. Install the PLG spindle assembly.
  3. Connect the PLG spindle connector.
  4. Install the liftgate pillar trim.
  5. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    CAUTION:
    • When assembling the PLG spindle drive to the ball socket, listen for a "click" sound to make sure that it is firmly assembled.
    • After assembling the PLG Spindle drive to the ball socket, check the socket clip if it is firmly assembled or not.

      (the clip should not protrude from the socket.)

    • After assembling the PLG Spindle drive, make sure that the grommet on the body side is firmly assembled.
