Repair Procedures: Removal

NOTE:

In the case of the vehicle equipped with immobilizer or button engine start system, perform "KEY TEACHING " procedure together.

Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
Disconnect the ECM Connector (A).

Remove the ECM & bracket (B) after loosening the mounting bolt and nuts.
ECM Bracket mounting bolt/nut :

9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

Remove the ECM after loosening the mounting nuts and screws from the ECM & bracket.
