Repair Procedures: Removal
- Adjust the shift lever to "N" position.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly and air duct.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the battery and battery tray.
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY ")
- Remove the engine control module (ECM).
(Refer to Engine Control System - "ECM ")
- Remove the snap pin (A-2ea) and then separate the shift & select cable (B) from the control bracket.
- Loosen the bolts (A-4ea) and then remove the control shaft complete (A).
Tightening torque:
19.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.0 - 2.7 kgf.m, 14.5 - 19.5 lb-ft)
