SMK Control Module
The smart key unit is divided into the passive start function for starting the engine and the passive entry function for entering the vehicle (door lock/unlock) and opening/closing the trunk. The passive start function enables a driver to supply power to and start the engine by possessing the smart key and pressing the start/stop button inside the vehicle to control the power supply relay (ACC, IGN1, IGN2, Start). The passive entry function enables the driver to enter the vehicle by possessing the smart key and pressing the door handle button to transmit door lock/unlock information to the CAN. SMK is included in the communication network (B_CAN) for the electronic system of the vehicle's body.
