The PODS-G (Passive Occupant Detection System) ECU receives the passenger information and error information from the SRSCM. Meanwhile, the SRSCM operates a telltale lamp and deploys an airbag at the passenger seat according to the binary signals from the PODS-G ECU regarding the passenger seat: 0 (empty seat/child or child safety seat), 1 (adult passenger on board)

  1. The PODS-G (Passive Occupant Detection System) ECU or seat cushion ASSY is replaced
  2. The telltale lamp is not illuminated when the passenger seat is not occupied.
  3. The telltale lamp does not go off for more than 10 seconds even after an adult passenger seats in.
NOTE: If any of the following conditions occurs, one must reset the Occupant Detection System (WCS, PODS, BOSE)'
