SAS (Steering Angle Sensor)
The Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) is installed at the lower side of the clock spring of a steering wheel.
The SAS is used to determining turning direction and speed of the steering wheel. It sends CAN signal on the direction through CAN communication lines to the IBAU. Then, the IBAU uses them when performing ESP-related calculations including the steering speed and direction and controlling the anti-roll system.
