Component Inspection
- Visual Check
- Turn the ignition switch "OFF" & Disconnect HO2S (S2) connector.
- Check that HO2S (S2) is contaminated or damaged by foreign materials.
- Has a problem been found?
YES
- Go to next step as below.
NO
- Replace the HO2S (S2) with an usable one and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the HO2S (S2) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
- Check HO2S (S2) performance
- Connect a GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
- Start the engine and warm it up to the normal operation temperature.
- Check the items related to an oxygen sensor on "Current Data" using the GDS.
■ Specification
- Is the result within specifications?
YES
- Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Replace the HO2S (S2) with an usable one and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the HO2S (S2) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
