Component Inspection: Notes

1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF" and disconnect CAN communication modules.
2. Connect 2 channel scope to DLC CAN HIGH terminal and CAN LOW terminal.
3. Turn the ignition switch "ON" after connecting only ECM to CAN BUS.

   (Turn the ignition switch "ON" after connecting only "the Control Module(s) to be checked" to CAN BUS.)

   Specification:  At Ignition "ON", the waveform is same as the one of "Signal Waveform & Data"

4. Is the measured resistance within specification?

YES 

• Replace the module which generates poor communication waveform, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

NO 

• Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
