Monitoring Current Data
- Connect a GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
- Start the engine and warm it up to the normal operation temperature.
- Check the items related to an "CAN" parameters on "Current Data" using the GDS.
- Check the value of current data displayed normally.
- Check "Transaxle Range Switch" and "Torque Required from TCU" parameters among ECU's current data. (AT
- vehicle only)
- Check "TPS", " RPM", and "Idle Status" parameters among TCU's current data. (AT vehicle only)
- Check " RPM" and "TPS" parameters among ABS's current data. (ABS or ESP vehicle only)
- Are the parameters displayed correctly?
- This can be an intermittent fault caused by poor contact of the sensor's and/or ECM (PCM)'s connector. Or, ECM (PCM) memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace the relevant component(s) as necessary, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
