DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Electrical check
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Short to Battery in TPS2 Signal Circuit
  3. Open in TPS Ground Circuit
  4. Faulty TPS2
Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON".
Threshold Value
  • TPS2 voltage at idle is higher than 4.9V.
  • Sensor signal circuit is shorted to battery power supply line.
Diagnostic Time
  • Continuously (for 0.05 seconds by repeated 10 msec.)
MIL On Condition
  • 2nd Driving Cycle
