Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and then disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
    CAUTION:
    • When lifting a vehicle using a lift, be careful not to damage the lower parts of the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank, canister). (Refer to General Information - "LIFT POINT ")
  2. Loosen the front wheel nuts slightly. Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
  3. Remove the front wheel and tire. (Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")
  4. Remove the front wheel guard. (Refer to Body - "FRONT WHEEL GUARD ")
  5. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor connector (A) and then remove the fixing clip.

  6. Remove the front wheel speed sensor cable bracket bolt (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    6.8 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.0 - 7.9 lb-ft)

  7. Loosen the bolt (A) and then disconnect the front wheel speed sensor.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.7 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.7 - 8.6 lb-ft)
