Repair Procedures: Removal
Information
- With the ignition off, press the brake pedal and press the "N" button (A) for 3 seconds.
WARNING:
- Be sure to read and follow the "GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION & CAUTION " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
- Be sure to read and follow the "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES " before doing any work related with the high voltage system. Failure to follow the safety instructions may result in serious electrical injuries.
CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the parts located under the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank and canister) when raising the vehicle using the lift.

- Shut off the high voltage circuit.

- Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Drain the engine coolant.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - " COOLANT ")
- Drain the coolant of hybrid motor cooling system.
(Hybrid Motor System - "COOLANT ")
- Remove the Hybrid Power Control Unit (HPCU) assembly and tray.
(Refer to Hybrid control system - "REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- Disconnect the electronic shift actuator connector (A).
- Loosen the bolts and then removing the electronic shift actuator (A).
- Disconnect the position sensor connector (A).
- Loosen the bolts and then removing the position sensor (A).
