Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the battery.

    (Refer to Engine Electrical System - "BATTERY REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  3. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER REPAIR PROCEDURES ")

  4. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector (A).
  5. Remove the spring clip, and then pull the sensor (B) from the water temperature control assembly.

    CAUTION:
    • Note that engine coolant may flow out from the water temperature control assembly when removing the sensor.
  6. Supplement the engine coolant.
