Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Remove the fuel pump service cover (A).
  4. Disconnect the fuel pump module connector (A).
  5. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor connector (B).
  6. Disconnect the fuel pump pressure sensor connector (C).

  7. Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (A).

  8. Remove the locking ring (A) by using the special service tool [NO.: 09310-B8100]
    NOTE:
    • When removing the locking ring, be careful not the damage the fuel tank and fuel pump.
    • When removing the locking ring, press the upper area with hand and rotate the wrench counter clockwise.

  9. Release the hook (A), and then remove the fuel tank pressure sensor (FTPS) (B) vertically from the fuel pump.
