BCW System
The BSD (=Blind Spot Detection) prevents collision by measuring the distance and speed of an object in the blind spots using the blind spot detectors installed at the rear side of the vehicle. It warns the driver (though visual, audio, and tangible alarm) when a rear vehicle coming from the right enters one of the driver's blind spots after computing the possibilities of a collision with the vehicle that attempts to change a lane coming from behind.
The BSD system exchanges information regarding distance from and speed of the upcoming vehicle via reciprocal CAN communication with the radio wave radar installed at the back of the vehicle.
