(Speed Sensor Removal And Installation)

ABBREVIATED PROCEDURE

Work H/W Tightening torque N.m (kgf.m/lb-ft) SST/Equipment Chemical etc
  • Removal 
1 Disconnect the battery (-) terminal - - - - -
2 Drain the fluid after removing the drain plug - - - - -
3 Reinstall the drain plug Bolt 4.9 - 5.9 (3.4 - 4.4/24.6 - 31.8) - - Refer to appropriate service information
4 Separate the wiring clip - - - - -
5 Disconnect the connector Bolt - - - -
6 Remove the upper intercooler hose Bolt 11.8 - 13.7 (1.2 - 1.4/8.7 - 10.1) - - -
7 Remove the intercooler hose Bolt 9.8 - 11.8 (1.0 - 1.2/7.2 - 8.7) - - -
8 Remove the valve body cover after removing the bolts Bolt 9.8 - 11.8 (1.0 - 1.2/7.2 - 8.7) - - Refer to appropriate service information
9 Separate the main harness after removing the bolts Bolt 9.8 - 11.8 (1.0 - 1.2/7.2 - 8.7) - - -
10 Remove the valve body assembly after removing the bolts Bolt 9.8 - 11.8 (1.0 - 1.2/7.2 - 8.7) - - Refer to appropriate service information
11 Disconnect the speed sensor connector - - - - -
12 Remove the speed sensor after removing the bolts Bolt 9.8 - 11.8 (1.0 - 1.2/7.2 - 8.7) - - -
  • Installation 
Installation is the reverse of removal. Refer to appropriate service information
  • Additional work 
  • Check the ATF level after refilling the automatic transaxle with fluid
  • Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) using the diagnostic tool
  • Reset the automatic transaxle adaptive values using the diagnostic tool
  • Oil-pressure characteristics input (Transaxle exchange)
  • Perform the TCM adaptive values learning procedure
